Am a catholic but this is ridiculous and the most ironical papal visit to ever come blessing the United State. The current and at is age we can say temporary Pope of the Roman Catholic Church just visited a synagogue. Now if it was JP2 or anybody else for that matter it would be ok but this is a former Hitler youth for god sake. Maybe peoples forgot their history but I did not and you should not too and the Jews sure did not and would never for good reason. Why was he even invited is beyond me I know it was more a political gesture by the Rabbi but have some respect for your own history.
And yes he say he was forced to join and may actually be telling the truth but this is 60 years ago and not that many peoples are left or willing to talk about it.
To be fair he is said to have deserted from the German army so maybe he really did not want to have any part of this madness. He look like the Star Wars emperor for crying out loud. Pope Darth Sidious is a joke and is visit should be ignored and peoples and media should not panders the way they did for the last week.
