It HBO for crying out loud the cable channel that hosted countless Carlin special. If they did not want brutal comedy they should have invited boring Seinfeld! And by the way that was not an Artie Lange meltdown or loss of control he perfectly know what he was doing. Artie went on Letterman, Conan and just about every mainstream late night show their is and he always stayed mostly clean on those show.
That was an HBO show and everybody expected Artie to cut loose maybe not that loose but it was expected that Artie would be Artie! Now Bill Maher should put Artie on top of his list of guest to get ASAP! Nobody would blame Artie for being outrageous on Real Rime with Bill Maher!
