People bitch about Bay ruining the Transformers and for good reason but I like to point out a few things. First it live action movies about a cartoon that was really nothing more than a marketing tool to sell plastic toys to children. Second the cartoon itself was rebooted five or six times with conflicting storyline and all sorts of weird shit*! Some of that stuff is still only in Japanese. Hell the original animated movie pretty much traumatised a generation of kids who got to watch most of their hero get killed in the first 10 minutes of the movie. The source material ain't all that amazing once you put aside nostalgia. That being said Michael Bay is still nothing more than Uwe Boll with a real budget. At least Boll freely admit that he doing shit movies. *See Headmaster, Energon
