He 32 and have to retire before the end of his contract in 2020 that sound far in the future but that barely 7 season from now. You think the Sabres would just tell the guy to not retire and stay home or show up for camp but get scratched for the whole season. Hell I would just offer him an assistant coach contract if he agree to stick around. By the way before that whole mess come to a head the NHL will probably lock out again in 2019. And the Sabres will likely get a few more compliance buyout out of that lockout
