Google is 13th years old!
Back in the day Blogging before it was call Blogging was done mostly by creating a Geocities* page. You searched for porn on site like Yahoo* or Altavista* and all you found was low res jpeg and maybe an animated gif or two and those would mess with your 486DX CPU anyway! Later in the late 90s downloading a two minutes low res Quicktime* trailer might have taken you 20 to 30 minutes and you fragged peoples on Quake 2 if you had a great rig or on good old Doom or Doom 2 if you did not.

Back then a Linux install required many floppies (Remember Floppies*). You also needed to perform many magical invocation and at least one goat sacrifice at the full moon once a year if you wanted the code to compile correctly half the time.**

IE 6 did not even exist yet alone suck. Back then it was IE4 and it also suck!
Most peoples used Netscape Navigator before MS started bundling IE. Microsoft might have kill Netscape but the guys at Netscape had the last laugh when they open sourced Netscape and gave birth to Mozilla Firefox that was originaly named Phoenix then Firebird before Mozilla settled of Firefox.

The Internet before Google did exist I was there I remember and it suck!
